Returns and Refund Policy

At Second Ascent Ropes, each product is handcrafted with care from repurposed climbing ropes. Due to the nature of these items, I strive to ensure every belt meets high-quality standards. However, I understand that issues may occasionally arise. Please review the following refund policy:

Returns and Refunds
  • Return Policy: I do not accept returns or issue refunds for items unless they arrive damaged or defective.

  • Damaged or Defective Items: If your belt arrives with a defect or damage, please contact me within 14 days of delivery at secondascentropes@gmail.com. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue, and I’ll work with you to provide a replacement or refund.

  • Order Cancellations: If you need to cancel your order, please do so within 24 hours of purchase. After your order has been processed, I am unable to cancel.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind after the product has been shipped.

  • Incorrect product selection by the customer (please double-check the product description before ordering).

  • Delays in shipping caused by postal services or customs.

Contact for Refunds

To start a refund or exchange request, contact me at secondascentropes@gmail.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible to resolve the situation.

Second Ascent Ropes was founded by Carter Watsabaugh, a University of Wyoming student with a deep passion for the outdoors and sustainability. Second Ascent Ropes transforms retired climbing ropes into stylish, eco-conscious belts—each piece capturing the spirit of adventure and the ingenuity of upcycling. Carter’s work not only breathes new life into climbing gear but also sends a clear message about environmental responsibility and innovation.

Through Second Ascent Ropes, Carter invites you to join a movement that celebrates the fusion of adventure, creativity, and sustainability. Every piece is more than just an accessory; it’s a testament to the power of reimagining the old to create something new, meaningful, and enduring.
