Climbing Toward Sustainability

Second Ascent Ropes was founded by Carter Watsabaugh, a University of Wyoming graduate with a deep passion for the outdoors and sustainability. Second Ascent Ropes transforms retired climbing ropes into stylish, eco-conscious belts with a story. Each piece capturing the spirit of adventure and the ingenuity of upcycling. Carter’s work not only breathes new life into climbing gear but also sends a clear message about environmental responsibility and innovation.

Through Second Ascent Ropes, Carter invites you to join a movement that celebrates the fusion of adventure, creativity, and sustainability. Every piece is more than just an accessory; it’s a testament to the power of reimagining the old to create something new, meaningful, and enduring.
